CEO, composer, producer, actress, press, distribution, sales
Antje Nikola Mönning (born in 1977 in Münster, Germany) studied acting at Schauspiel München from 1999 to 2002. After graduating, she appeared on numerous theatre stages, including the National Theater Sarajevo, and toured North America and Europe with a Broadway musical before increasingly turning her focus to film and television.
From 2007 to 2009, she was part of the main cast of the popular German TV series Um Himmels Willen (For Heaven’s Sake, ARD). Since 2007, Antje has been a permanent member of the creative team at wtp international.
In 2009, she served as a jury member at the SITGES International Film Festival of Catalonia in Spain.
As both actress and co-producer, Antje has been deeply involved in several acclaimed wtp international productions, including Roland Reber’s Cabaret of Death (2019), where she played Patsy, and Illusion (2013), for which she also composed the film’s music. She co-produced The Truth of Lie and Angels with dirty wings, playing the lead role of Lucy in the latter—a film that gained significant media attention and was dubbed the “scandal film of the year 2010.”
For Taste of Life (2017), she co-wrote the screenplay, played the main character Nikki, and again composed the music.
In December 2018, Antje released her first music album Ausgezogen under the name Antje Nikola Mönning aka Sister Antje. The original soundtracks she composed for Roland Reber’s Cabaret of Death, Illusion, and Taste of Life are also available on major music platforms.
Her first book, “Nicht normal” ist ganz normal, was published in 2023 and presented at the Leipzig Book Fair, where she gave a reading as part of the “Leipzig liest” program. Further readings followed in Munich, Berlin, Essen, Hamburg, and Stuttgart.
In 2024, she co-produced the feature film There is a Hausen everywhere, co-writing the screenplay with Mira Gittner and portraying the role of Julia. The film also marks the fourth feature production for which she composed the original score.
That same year, Antje became Managing Director of wtp international GmbH. In addition, she began teaching as a guest lecturer at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) in the Department of Health Sciences, where she gives lectures on “Sexuality and Gender: The Influence of Media on Body Image.”
