After graduating as an actor at the Otto-Falkenberg-School in Munich he had engagements at the Munich Kammerspiele and the Staatstheater Hannover.

Afterwards he worked as a freelance actor in theatre, musical and operetta productions in big and small theatres, mainly in Munich but also in Hannover, Landshut, Feuchtwangen, Bozen, Brixen, Landsberg and for three years at the Theater Ulm. He performed the Pharaoh in the Musical AIDA by Elton John and Tom Rice at the Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern. Thomas Kollhoff acted in numerous film and TV productions including the movies “Der Leihmann” (SWF), “Minitrans” (SWF), “Im Zeichen des Kreuzes” (director: Rainer Boldt),  and “Unter Kollegen” , which was awarded the Grimme Preis.

Before his acting training he already gathered experience at the theatre since he was 15 years old: he was a background actor at the theatres in Essen and Mannheim , worked  for three years as a stage technician at the Theatre of Düsseldorf and was assistant director for Hans Neuenfels in Basel.

ILLUSION (2013, role: Dieter) was his first collaboration with Roland Reber and the team of wtp international, followed by TASTE OF LIFE (2017) where he took over the role of Edmund.
